About Me
Hi! I’m Colleen, a visual artist and graphic designer based in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia). I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University and bring a versatile skill set across illustration, graphic and web design, and marketing. With a strong background in traditional drawing and painting, I love bringing unique and inspiring ideas to life and making an impact through thoughtful work.
As a 2D Artist at SilverbackVR, I created technical illustrations, complex diagrams, and 2D animations of aviation technology while assisting with icon design and redesigning client collateral to enhance training assets for the workplace. My experience as a Philanthropy Project Assistant and Alumni Marketing Intern at Pathways to Education Canada involved designing engaging infographics with original copy, illustrations, and icons. Additionally, I designed documents, web assets, web page layouts, and PowerPoint templates, while supporting project management and alumni engagement efforts.
My freelance work has further expanded my art and design experience with a diverse range of clients, spanning large organizations like Pathways Canada and War Child Canada, to smaller businesses and musicians. Various projects I’ve worked on included document and report design, brand identity and logo design, advertising and cover design, website design, and instructional design.
